8.7 / 10

Mari is a stylish and comfortable boat with multiple social areas kitted out with hammocks, beanbags and sun loungers for guests can unwind between dives.

There are comfortable cabins, all of which feature a beautiful wooden interior, ac and ensuite bathrooms.

Great For: Singles, Couples, Families, Long Trips, Short Trips, Advanced Divers

Trip Lengths: 7 – 14 days.

Max Guest Capacity: 14

Tours Raja Ampat: October – April

Details:

Mari runs dive safaris to either the central, south & central or north & central regions of Raja Ampat stopping at the very best dive sites of each.

Divers will be immersed in a variety of different marine habitats including pristine coral gardens, village jetties and epic underwater pinnacles.

Sharks are spotted on most dives, and divers even have a good chance to spot the rare “walking shark” which sneaks up on it’s prey at night by “walking” ever closer to them on it’s stubbly fins at night.

Additional activities can include viewpoint treks, visiting ancient cave paintings and beach visits.

Beautifully crafted from ironwood and teak, this 30m vessel caters to a maximum of 14 guests in 3 deluxe and 4 superior cabins.

All cabins include the option for separate beds between guests, making this a great liveaboard for families, couples and single travellers alike.

Guests can relax on the 2 sundecks, bar and open air lounge. There’s also an al-fresco dining table, where you’ll enjoy exquisite food that includes both local and international cuisine.

The spacious dive deck, large dive tender and recent addition of nitrox for qualified divers ensures well organised and stress free dives.

There is a nearly 1:1 crew to guest ratio – with crew members including a highly qualified chef and a naturalist guide who is always happy to explain the local ecosystem.

"We had a really nice trip in March 2019. The trip was exactly like the description. The crew was so helpful and friendly. There was a lot of good food at any time. Before every dive there was a good briefing and the divemasters have a lot of experience. We were 11 guests divided into 3 dive groups. We saw the walking sharks, Mantas, a lot of macros and so much more! We really can recommend to dive with Mari in Raja Ampat".

"You can see a lot of Manta rays from touching distance, there are a lot of wobbegong sharks, and there is one species of the walking sharks which live only at Raja Ampat".

“Everything. This is the second time that we have used this operator once in Komodo and now Raja Ampat. They are so attentive to your needs and wants.

Their attention to detail is incredible for example from the first check dive they notice exactly how i like my BCD set up then each time is was perfect for me.

The food through out the trip is always off the charts it was mix of local delights and a few western favorites thrown in there (like French Fries or Chips). Our Dive Guide was awesome he was super familiar with dive sites, currents, and read the conditions very well.

He was also super knowledgeable when it came to Fish and Creature ID. I highly recommend the Mari and plan to do more trips on the BEAUTIFUL boat in the future”.
