Seawolf Dominator - My Experience & Review

As you can see from the movie; diving the Red Sea is a visually stunning experience with incredible visibility of up to 120 feet (40 meters) and amazingly healthy coral reef that literally stretches away for as far as the eye can see.

There’s a myriad of life; including all manner of reef fish, nudibranch, crustaceans and turtles plus big oceanic fish like trevally, giant barracuda and tuna. 

A highlight of the trip was meeting two Oceanic Whitetip Shark at Elphinstone; typical of their species, they were incredibly curious, swimming right up to each diver.

The dive guides showed me videos from the previous months trips in which other guests had also seen dolphins, hammerhead sharks, manta rays and thresher sharks. 

Seawolf Dominator also tours the North Red Sea which is famous for epic shipwrecks and easy, beginner friendly dives.
The dive guides were highly experienced; even though there were eight guests to each guide; they effortlessly kept tabs on every group member.

Everyone used the Nitrox which was freely available and the staff spoke English, German and Russian (and of course Egyptian-Arabic!).
Each day we were woken up at around 6am and had twenty minutes to grab a coffee and snack before the first dive briefing of the day.

Throughout the day there were three dives; each was followed by a delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner and then guests had a couple of hours to rest before the next dive.

After the third dive, everyone is invited to the main outdoor lounge; music is played and the staff bring you a fresh drink and light snacks. This made socialising so easy.

Guests have about an hour to enjoy this part of the day, which is also ample time to shower and change and then it’s time for a mouth-watering dinner and dessert. 

After this, many folks liked to enjoy a drink or two from the bar but for those who can hold off there’s usually a night-dive which you can go on without a guide!

There’s no official time you have to be asleep, but most people are tucked up in their cabins by 10pm, at which point it’s all very quiet; but staff are still available 24/7.

A large and beautiful vessel measuring 137 feet, the cabins of Seawolf Dominator feature a beautiful yet cosy wooden interior with very comfy beds and an ensuite bathroom.

Up top is a large sundeck connected to a partially shaded al fresco dining area.

However, during my trip;, most folks hung out on the second deck with its partially shaded lounge, panoramic views, comfy furniture and colourful beanbags. 

The indoor saloon is very spacious with a huge lounge; it’s also a great place to read and chill plus there is a huge Plasma TV, board games and books.

Moving through the lounge; you come into the spacious dining area; surrounded by stunning ocean views in all directions. I really can’t overstate how great the food was!

The dive deck itself was very spacious; with two showers and staff constantly around to help with gear maintenance and cleaning. They’re also more than happy to take photos.

Seawolf Dominator felt like a truly luxurious experience; however it’s only a mid-priced liveaboard!

Honestly, I have yet to be on another liveaboard that offers such great value for money.

Thanks to the awesome customer service, the delicious food, comfy cabins and amazing dive itinerary, this was the best liveaboard trip I’ve ever been on.
